INTERIORS Regional Interiors

C2-Apartment

Merit, Residential Category | BCI Asia Interior Design Awards 2020

The increasing demands for residential spaces have led to rapid development of high-rise apartments in Vietnam cities, but the layouts often lack functionality. Owners frequently need to renovate before they can move in. However, the current design trend tends to emphasise aesthetics over functionality, the designers claimed. C2-Apartment aims to bring about changes to this.

THE CURVED CORRIDOR

To optimise functionality, the key is to allow fluid movement from one space to another. This is achieved by creating a curved corridor connecting the living room and the bedrooms. Besides allowing more space for the children to move about, the connection also creates visual and communication links. The window of the middle bedroom can be opened to enhance connectivity or closed for more privacy.
