CLP Pulse, a museum showcasing the linked histories of Hong Kong’s electricity development, was launched by CLP Holdings Limited (CLP) on 18 May 2023. This new cultural hub is housed in CLP’s renovated clock tower—a Grade 1 historic building erected in 1940—on Argyle Street, Kowloon.

During its opening, Chan Kwok-ki, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government remarked that such a project echoes the Government’s mission to protect, conserve and revitalise heritage sites through sustainable means. Present at the event was Sir Michael Kadoorie, Chairman of CLP Holdings.
Covering an area of over 870 square metres, CLP Pulse has three themed exhibitions on its ground floor and first floor: ElectriCity that details the development of Hong Kong’s electricity supply; Our Home ∙ Our History that tells the story of the Kadoorie family; Traces of Human Touch curated by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office; and a host of multimedia as well as experiential features.
CLP Pulse is open to members of the public every Tuesday; Wednesday; Friday; Saturday; and Sunday from 10am until 6pm. Entry is free while complimentary guided tours are available via online booking (www.clpulse.com). —Construction+ Online
