MOGSEC 2016: Transforming Malaysia Into a Leading Oil And Gas Hub

Date: 28–30 September 2016
Company Names: Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC) and Malaysian Exhibition Services (MES) Sdn Bhd

Since the first oil well was drilled in 1910 in Sarawak, Malaysia has become a mature market in the oil and gas industry with over 400 oil and gas fields. According to BMI Research, the nation’s gas output is forecast to rise to 71.1 billion cubic metres by 2024. Today, Malaysia is a key hub for major oil and gas companies. It is the only net exporter of oil and gas among Asia’s major economies and is the second largest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) exporter in the world.

Organised by the Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC) and Malaysian Exhibition Services (MES) Sdn Bhd, the 3rd Malaysia Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC) was held from 28 to 30 September 2016 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The event was officiated by Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS.

The exhibition and conference received overwhelming support from the oil and gas industry. More than 303 exhibiting companies and 5,992 trade visitors participated in the event. This generated a RM358 million potential sale through the MATRADE International Sourcing Programme (INSP).

MOGSEC showcased Malaysia’s oil and gas service providers, organisations and individuals who are involved with upstream, midstream and downstream businesses, as well as some of the region’s biggest industry players such as PETRONAS, SapuraKencana Petroleum, Muhibbah Engineering, Keisha Marine and Technip. It was launched in 2012 by MOGSC with the intention of positioning Malaysia as the region’s oil and gas hub, in line with the government’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP). This exclusive event will be held again from 25 to 27 September 2018 at KLCC. وان ایکس بت بت فوروارد
