HPTN signifies the highest recognition by the nation to the technical professions in Malaysia for their invaluable contribution to the development of infrastructure and modernisation of the country. They encompass various technical fields including engineering, astronomy, science, technology, construction, architecture and surveying.
HPTN is held on the first Saturday of December every year. It serves as an inclusive platform for technical professions from both, public and private sectors to share their technical-centric knowledge, expertise and experience, as well as providing awareness to the general public, especially those who are inclined and interested in technical careers.
This year, the celebration for HPTN 2023 will kick start with pre-summit activities from 18 October 2023 to 3 December 2023, followed by the summit from 4 to 5 December 2023 at Dewan Damar Sari Parcel F, Putrajaya. The opening ceremony will be tentatively officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato‘ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim on 5 December 2023.
HPTN 2023 theme entitled ‘Technical Profession Drives The Development Of Malaysia Madani sets the direction for various programmes and activities, including competitions (sports, STEM & TVET, etc.), technical profession awards, outdoor and water activities, webinars and exhibition booths by participating Strategic Partners.
