The project is a 200-metre-long mixed-use hub located across the Shing Mun River, near the heart of Sha Tin. Cross of Destinations aims to provide socialising space with rooftop garden on-ramps from both ends to draw people towards the dead-ends on the roof that formed a cross circulation and elevation.
DIVERSE ENDS & CROSS CONCEPT
The project connects the lively hectic commercial and cultural Sha Tin New Town to the tranquil and leisure residential area of Sha Tin Wai and the promenade. The bridge is built to replace an existing bridge, allowing direct and high accessibility from both ends. The ramps from both ends act as an extension of events towards the bridge. They also serve as a guide to the main event space, viewing deck and garden for people to gather and stay on the river.
