The forthcoming Clementi Interchange Station—one of the six underground stations under the Cross Island Line Phase 2—will link the Cross Island Line to the present East-West Line for enhanced connectivity in the western regions, whilst serving as a Civil Defence shelter along Clementi Avenue 4.

The awarded contract for the design and construction of the infrastructure, valued at approximately SGD514 million, covers the addition and alteration works at the Clementi Station on the East-West Line. The detailed design consultancy services for civil; structural; architectural; and mechanical and electrical works will be provided by Aurecon, with support from Aedas within the architectural scope. —Construction+ Online
