Putra Perdana Construction Sdn Bhd (PPC)—the wholly owned construction subsidiary of Putrajaya Perdana Berhad (PPB)—has recorded RM1.18 billion revenue and RM78 million profit after tax for the year ended 31 December 2015. PPC now aims to hit another stellar RM1 billion in revenue performance for 2016.
In comparison to 2014, PPC recorded RM69 million profit after tax against a revenue of RM607 million. The company succeeded in doubling its revenue in 2015. Up to 95 percent of the contribution to PPB’s group revenue of RM1.24 billion in 2015 was due to the securing of a few major projects in year 2013/2014 with completion dates in 2016 and 2017.
Some of the more renowned projects secured during the period included: KL Eco City; KL Eco City Mosque; Projek Air Mentah Rapid (PAMER); South Key Mosaics Development, Johor Bahru; Arcadia Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur; Tasek Central Mall; and Green Building Index (GBI)-certified Serai Bukit Bandaraya condominium.
Since its incorporation in 1986, PPC has successfully delivered distinctive and large-scale projects on a turnkey, conventional and design-build basis, including high-rise office and residential buildings; commercial and retail outlets; government offices; townships; and infrastructure projects. The company also has a solid track record in timely deliver y of mega projects.
PPC is also one of the construction companies that incorporate energy efficiency, Green and sustainability features in the buildings it constructs. PPC’s landmark Green projects include the Diamond Building for the Energy Commission, the first office building in Malaysia to obtain the double platinum rating certification from both Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark and Malaysia’s GBI.
