The National Eco-Construction Competition 2017 (NECO 2017) aims to foster sustainable construction by innovating sustainable construction approaches. It is open to all Malaysian students aged 18 to 30.
This competition is organised by CIDB, with its newly established Sustainable Construction Excellence Centre (MAMPAN), along with Centre of Advance Construction Technology and Innovation (CACTI) and Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM), in conjunction with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The first stage of the competition is project development, where all the teams will be briefed on the development and submission of a written report (30 to 60 pages). The second stage will require the 10 shortlisted teams to present their ideas/models in public to panels or juries.
The registration deadline is 30 September, while the submission deadline is 27 October.
