This year, Young Engineers in Society (YES) of the Association of Engineering Professionals in Society (AES) organised a Joint Society Christmas Party with seven different professional engineering bodies and other supporting societies in Hong Kong. The party was held at Virgo Bar & Restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. Ir Dr Hon Lo Wai-kwok and Prof David Lee Ka-yan were the guests of honour at the event.
Around 160 participants who attended were given different accessories to match the cartoon-themed event. The guests of honour kicked off the event with a performance, followed by Heart Attack, a game that served as an icebreaker. A lucky draw followed suit after the other games were played.
The Joint Society Christmas Party provides a useful social platform for young professionals of various disciplines and organisations to interact with one another. It also offers an opportunity for people to have fun and relax.
