Situated at the magnificent waterfront of Shenzhen Qianhai, Qianhai Kerry Centre is designated for a mixed-use development comprising office, apartment, retail and hotel properties. With a total gross floor area of over 408,800 square meters, the entire development will be delivered in phases by 2024.
Designed with an aspiration to build a modern and integrated hub in Qianhai for business activity and urban living, the development is expected to reshape the city’s urban landscape. Embedding sustainability concept into the master planning and building design, Qianhai Kerry Centre has achieved several top-tier accreditations in both local and global levels with its environment-centered design.
REDEFINING LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
With a focus on the development of enterprises and human experiences, Qianhai Kerry Centre aims to bring art and culture, nature and wellness together in a place that cultivates connections between the community, environment and spaces the development occupies. Redefining the relationship with landscape, Qianhai Kerry Centre has fully manifested the mentality through publicly accessible greenspace, shaded gardens, lushly planted balconies and outdoor atriums. Public green space is spread across the site connecting all three phases of the development to encourage people flow and create vibrancy during days and nights.
Surrounded by a large extent of public parks and open spaces, the buildings are interconnecting and echoing each other with the grid-form façade design. As an ecological mixed-use development, the walkways and buildings are specially designed to offer intimate human experiences. Open public spaces cultivate cultural diversity, and Qianhai Kerry Centre wishes to connect people, nature and space.
The development designed a diverse system of public spaces and landscaping, which include a central park, sunken plaza and sky garden, to allow visitors to engage with the natural scenery, retail service and public event experience all at the same time. Colourful and engaging public programmes and idea sharing events are scheduled regularly, providing a dynamic environment for people from all walks of life to find common ground to interact and build connections. To this end, the development brought to Qianhai a cohesive human scale urban space that is harmoniously built with people-centric concepts.
OPTIMISING QUALITY ENVIRONMENT
Sustainability formed the foundation of Kerry Properties’ projects focus of the design of mixed-use developments. At the project planning stage, Kerry Properties initiated and incorporated sustainability concept to project design process and carefully considered diversified standards as set by international and regional sustainable building and wellness ranking systems. Qianhai Kerry Centre aims to create a premium international ecological complex that integrates properties with nature, health and humanity.
