RIB Software AG, the world’s leading provider of five-dimensional building information modelling (BIM) big data technology for the construction industry, held its fourth world conference—iTWO World 2016—from 16 to 18 November. The conference featured the iTWO community’s thoughts on construction 4.0, highlighting topics on the Internet of Things (IoT); construction digitalisation with iTWO five-dimensional (5D) BIM; supply chain management for construction; iTWO Global Education; as well as enterprise management in innovation transformation. The world’s first cloud-based 5D BIM IoT enterprise solution, iTWO 4.0, was unveiled and is expected to drive the digital enterprise management in building industry to new heights.
Three hundred visionaries from 21 countries attended the inaugural iTWO World conference in China. Top executives from 24 leading companies—such as RIB, Flex, McKinsey and Autodesk—shared their success stories and insights on iTWO 5D BIM end-to-end enterprise management and its integration with advanced three-dimensional BIM design and supply chain management. Three prestigious universities from Germany, Hong Kong and the United States presented their collaborations and achievements with RIB on developing the next generation of BIM talents.
The Podium Discussion sessions were stimulating, and the audience participated in lively discussions about digitalisation in the global building industry, modular construction, 5D BIM approach in education, etc.

On the third day of the conference, participants experienced the 5D BIM end-to-end management system and iTWO 4.0 in an iTWO 5D laboratory, and gained first-hand knowledge of how big data and disruptive technology can transform enterprise management and bring real value for the industry. Integrating data, people and machine, the state-of-art information technology is continuously advancing the building and construction industry.
