Phase two of Citygate Outlets is set to open in August 2019. The expansion will double the mall’s size to more than 800,000 square feet and feature over 150 international brands and more than 30 F&B outlets. There will also be four new movie houses with a total capacity of 650 seats, a larger atrium for events and an outdoor area for weekend markets and exhibitions.
Located at the heart of Lantau, full-scale outlet mall is directly connected to the Tung Chung MTR Station and is close to the Hong Kong International Airport as well as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It is also a starting point for visitors to explore various popular attractions on Lantau Island, including Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, the Big Buddha and Hong Kong Disneyland.
“We’re very excited to launch our new extension as it will not only solidify our position as the city’s leading premium outlet shopping complex, but also as a haven for unparalleled lifestyle experiences,” said Chris Heywood, General Manager, Citygate said.
Citygate is owned by a consortium of local developers, comprising Hang Lung Development, Henderson Land Development, New World Development, Sun Hung Kai Properties and Swire Properties. ― Construction+ Online
