GATHER Coworking Space

Meticulously designed in response to the changing face of working life, GATHER aims to prioritise the health of members, through thoughtful and calming interiors and a unique and engaging programme of lifestyle offerings.

Located in the vibrant Robertson Quay neighbourhood, it offers an alternative to Singapore’s crowded Central Business District (CBD). Surrounded by leafy suburban streets and a dynamic collection of independent pavement cafés, riverside restaurants and boutique fitness studios, GATHER promises members a range of lifestyle benefits uncommon in the high-rise offices in the CBD.

Spread across three levels, the coworking space offers a host of workspace options—from fully-furnished studio offices to bespoke suites, with a total of 12 offices ranging in occupancy from 6 to 40 people. Whilst all offices on level 3 are fully furnished, on levels 4-5, bespoke options offer freedom and flexibility for individuals to customise their own office space and layout.

Calm, elegant and inviting, the design brief for GATHER was to create a softer workplace; this was achieved by the designer through a neutral colour palette of earthy pinks, beiges and light wood colours. Maximised ceiling heights and optimised natural light create a spacious environment which lends itself to a productive, stress-free working day. A plush entry way features a statement reception desk—sculptural shapes that create a distinctive talking point. The use of soft pink marble and cork sets the tone for the rest of the space, with these materials being utilised seamlessly throughout. Oak-walled offices suited to businesses of different sizes are reached through curved corridors, naturally guiding members around the space.

Whilst the design of the workspaces was kept simple, a heavier focus was placed on the key communal areas, where more impactful materials were used, with brass elements punctuating the social setting. In the main area of GATHER, a feature bar and kitchen area—complete with a green onyx wall, terrazzo bar tops, and softly lit shelves housing an array of trinkets and liquors—form the focal point to encourage members to mingle.

Assorted seating options, including rounded sofas and light timber chairs and tables offer flexibility, whilst circular lighting fixtures create a sense of warmth. “GATHER was designed to create an environment that encourages balance, combining a traditional workplace with lifestyle and social benefits. The use of colours and textures creates a sense of calm and elegance, with punchy design accents to offer talking points and encourage conversation, ”  said the designer, Marc Webb.
