The rebranding of MCT Berhad to Avaland Berhad was announced on 7 July 2023, following organisational restructuring exercise in the last four years, which has refocused the company’s core business on property development. The initiative is aimed at providing sustainable spaces for living and working via collaborations with GreenRE Malaysia, among others.
The subsidiary of Ayala Land has launched seven projects since 2019, comprising approximately 2,500 units, with a total Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM2 billion. Alongside its recent land acquisition measuring 4.02 acres at Bangi; 1.57 acres in Taman Seputeh; and 3.9 acres in Taman Desa, a combined GDV of RM1.2 billion is set to be generated this year. —Construction+ Online
