Located in Tekka Place in Little India, the café will have two main entrances, one from the street and another from the mall. The idea is to make the café blend with the street without neglecting the integration with the mall. The café is expected to attract the young generation, such as students from the nearby universities, as well as tourists and mall visitors.
To make the space interactive with the street, the designer will add a mobile cabinet for takeaways. The seating area will be equipped with an interactive screen that highlights the culture of Singapore. Indoor, the bar counter and cosy corners will cater to the need of those who prefer a quieter space. Here, the area will incorporate sound-absorbing materials, such as curtains, brick walls, soft furniture, indoor plants and uneven surfaces.
