RICS and AIAC hold mediation training programme for complex property disputes

Kuala Lumpur, 15 January 2021 – The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Mediation Training Programme will be held online from 18 to 22 January 2021 and from 25 to 27 January 2021.

The RISC-AIAC Mediation Training Programme is a practical and intensive module on complex disputes to the highest standards across land, property, construction and infrastructure. This online course is divided into two modules consisting of the facilitative and evaluative approaches to mediation.

Professionals in land, construction and real estate, as well as local authorities and legal practitioners, are encouraged to attend. Upon successful completion of both modules, attendees will be empanelled into the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) Mediation and be entitled to apply for admission to the RICS International Panel of Dispute Resolvers.

This programme is also recognised by the International Mediation Institute (IMI) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) as a qualifying programme to apply for IMI certification and as a CIArb Member, respectively.
