Putra Perdana Construction Clinches RM408 Million Contract

Putra Perdana Construction Sdn Bhd (PPC)—a construction subsidiary wholly owned by Putrajaya Perdana Berhad (PPB)—has recently clinched a RM408-million contract to build the Sime Darby Ara Damansara Development Sdn Bhd’s Cantara Residences project at Ara Damansara, a prestigious high-end residential development located on 7.12 acres of land.

This contract involves the construction of 17-floor buildings comprising 756 units of serviced apartments in total, 24 of which are serviced apartments with connecting duplex. Another nine floors comprise 108 units of serviced apartments that will be built above the podium located on level six.

The project also includes the construction of two floors of office units and shoplots (13 units); car parks and common facilities on level six, such as hot dip pool, cool dip pool, sauna, steam room, multipurpose hall, barbecue area, swimming pool, aqua gym, jacuzzi, yoga lawn, wet playground, clubhouse, reflexology path, futsal; as well as outdoor gym, jogging track and gymnasium on level 18. A link bridge located from levels 15 to 18 will be built to connect all four residential towers.

The Cantara Residences project is estimated to take approximately 30 months from site possession to completion, with the targeted completion date set in May 2019. Goh Ceah Chuang, Chief Executive Officer of PPC, said, “With this RM408 million contract, we are confident that with our current order book in hand, we can maintain a positive performance for the group in the coming financial years.”

The latest Cantara Residences project award brings the total projects secured by PPC in 2016 to approximately RM765 million. As of 31 October 2016, PPC’s outstanding order book and tender book stood at approximately RM1.25 billion and RM1.93 billion respectively. PPC is currently working on submitting tenders for approximately RM6 billion worth of contracts.
