Kuala Lumpur, 19 January 2021 – The Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) is calling for nominations for PAM Gold Medal and PAM Kington Loo Medal 2021. The nomination is open until Friday, 5 February 2021.

The PAM Gold Medal is the highest honour bestowed by PAM upon its corporate members or a practice of its corporate member, in recognition of design excellence in a body of work that results in an advancement of architecture.

Meanwhile, the PAM Kington Loo Medal is to recognise a distinguished lifetime commitment that shows leadership and advocacy through services and contributions to PAM and the profession of architecture as a whole. It is equivalent to the existing PAM Gold Medal awarded for design excellence.

The 2019 awards were granted to three PAM members at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 6 July 2019, as part of the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF) 2019. The recipients of the PAM Gold Medal for Design Excellence are Prof Laurence Loh Kwong Yu and Prof Dr Jimmy Lim Cheok Siang. Past PAM President, Datuk Tan Pei Ing, was also conferred the inaugural Gold Medal for Service to the Profession.
