Thirteen companies from Hong Kong Science Park showcased their solutions for smart city technologies and applications at InnoEX 2023, an inaugural tech fair held from 12 to 15 April 2023, to facilitate innovation and technology (I&T) collaboration across regions.
Solutions toward building a smart city included applications involving artificial intelligence and the metaverse. For instance, metaverse-related technological solutions could help improve user experience across different sectors, while smart technology solutions sought to enhance business operation, data processing and analysing.
Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, with a pavilion at the fair to showcase these solutions, hopes that these technologies could contribute to realising Hong Kong as a smart city.
InnoEX 2023 is jointly organised by the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, aiming to promote the city’s strengths in I&T. Together with the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and Hong Kong International Lighting Fair held concurrently, the three tech fairs attracted over 66,000 buyers from some 160 countries and regions, including the Mainland; the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN); Korea; Taiwan; USA; Japan; and India. —Construction+ Online
