Following the Government’s authorisation for the addition of Kwu Tung Station under the Railways Ordinance (Cap. 519) on 11 November 2022, the MTR Corporation is working closely with relevant stakeholders to put forward its construction as soon as possible.
Kwu Tung Station will be located between Lok Ma Chau Station and Sheung Shui Station in the town centre of the future Kwu Tung North New Development Area (KTN NDA) and upon completion of the new station, the journey time between the KTN NDA and Sheung Shui will be significantly shortened.
Currently in the detailed design stage, the construction works are expected to commence in 2023 and to complete in 2027. —Construction+ Online
