Housing Society Marks Diamond Jubilee

Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS)—a ‘housing laboratory’ established in 1948 to create quality homes for sustainable living—celebrated its diamond jubilee at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on 17 April 2023. Among the guests present were the Secretary for Housing of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, Winnie Ho and HKHS Chairman, Walter Chan.

HKHS is a vital, long-term partner of the Government in providing various types of housing for the public. To date, 100 housing projects have been developed, covering rental estates, subsidised sale flats and elderly housing.

HKHS is set to provide more than 45,000 housing units in the next 20 years, with around 35,000 units slated for completion in 10 years’ time—a milestone in the society’s 75-year history.

Running under the theme of Creating Homes for Sustainable Living, a series of celebratory activities has been rolled out by HKHS for the community throughout the year. For details, please visit the following link: —Construction+ Online
