The award-winning projects of the 2nd Greater Bay Area Urban Design Awards (the Awards), organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD), are currently on show at the Awards 2022 roving exhibition at the Central Market.

Details of the exhibition are as follows:

Opening Hours: 10 am to 10 pm

The exhibition offers an opportunity for the public to better understand how urban design solutions are closely related to people’s lives and how they help to deliver better cities for better health, sustainability and liveability at the same time.

The Awards is a biannual event that aims to elevate the overall urban design standard in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) by recognising excellence in urban design-related projects in the region. With the support of the founding member institutes from the Greater Bay Area Urban Designer Alliance and the lead sponsor CreateHK, the Awards 2022 was successfully held with a record high of over 280 project submissions and nominations, among which 69 projects were nominated for awards.

Several projects from Hong Kong received recognition as they demonstrated the iconic development of urban design in Hong Kong in parallel with the GBA cities.
