Viewing the current climate crisis as an opportunity rather than a challenge, Wong highlighted the development of renewable businesses by the energy company in recent years such as zero-carbon smart industrial parks on the Chinese mainland. Besides converting biomass and organic waste resources into energy to turn energy production ‘from grey to green’, the feasibility of extracting hydrogen from its gas pipelines is also being explored to promote development of new energy in Hong Kong. —Construction+ Online
