From 8 to 10 June 2017, the Impact Exhibition & Centre in Bangkok will be hosting INTERMAT ASEAN, a new three-day trade show for the construction and infrastructure industry in Southeast Asia.
INTERMAT ASEAN is derived from INTERMAT Paris, which is an international meeting place for equipment and materials, machinery and technology. It is the result of a new collaboration between exhibition organisers Impact and Comexposium, as well as the Thai Contractors Association.
INTERMAT ASEAN positions itself by focusing on the heavy construction market. Some 300 exhibitors will be at hand to fulfill a wide range of infrastructure needs, including production, transportation, handling, building, lifting, and drilling. There will be an outdoor working demonstration area to showcase the performance of machinery and equipment in real-life worksite conditions.
Around 10,000 industry decision-makers, key players and users are expected to attend the show, where they will have the opportunity to meet manufacturers and suppliers, interact with the world’s biggest brands, discover the latest trends and technological innovations, and exchange ideas with industry specialists.
The INTERMAT ASEAN Conference will run concurrently with the exhibition and will be dedicated to industry trends, progressing in technical and non-technical aspects of the industry and formulating growth strategies. It will bring together some of the leading names and global experts within academia and industry, who will give their views and perspectives on ASEAN’s construction and infrastructure industry from different core angles, such as sustainability and Green materials, the use of technology for construction and infrastructure, innovating for the future, and industry challenges.
