Changi Airport visitors can check out the newly upgraded Terminal 3 Basement 2 (T3 B2) this month, completed with the new community event space ST3PS, an indoor garden, more than 10 new shops and restaurants for family activities.
Keeping the whole family entertained
Equipped with an ultra high-definition screen measuring 6 metres wide and 3.5 metres high, the dedicated atrium spaceST3PS is shaped like a stepped amphitheatre, which can accommodate over 200 people.
Free daily movie screenings, an array of activities during the school holidays, and also live sports matches and performances during the weekend are some of the activities visitors can enjoy in the atrium space. Aspiring artistes and performing arts groups can also showcase their talents to travellers and airport visitors here.
The event space will also feature a full-height green wall, adorned with motion-sensor sparkling lights that shine as visitors walk up the steps. Adjacent to the atrium space is a fun art-themed indoor garden, where visitors can look forward to large-scale sculptural installations in time to come. The entire atrium and garden covers a floor area of 440 square metres, close to the size of a basketball court, and features over 15 varieties of plants.
“With the redesign, we have opened up this entire area to bring in natural daylight, add greenery with a new themed garden and brighten up T3 B2,” said James Fong, Vice President for Landside Concessions, Changi Airport Group.
