More than 1,000 engineering professionals will convene in Singapore from 12 to 14 November 2018 to exchange knowledge and create solutions in engineering to stimulate progress in ASEAN. Hosted by The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) in association with the Land Transport Authority, the 36th edition of the annual Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 36) will be held at the Resorts World Sentosa.
IES has joined forces with SMRT Corporation and the Singapore University of Technology and Design to present two conferences centred on the themes of “Engineering Rail Connectivity” and “Fostering Excellence in Engineering Education” respectively, in support of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 by ASEAN leaders in September 2016:
- The Singapore Rail Technology Conference (SRTC) will provide a focal point for discussion on pertinent issues and trends that are impacting rail engineering in the region and beyond.
- The ASEAN Engineering Deans Summit (AEDS) will facilitate the design and delivery of top-quality educational programmes and nurture not just knowledgeable and multi-disciplinary engineers, but also deeply-skilled engineers and technicians.
