PAM’s closing ceremony for World Architecture Day 2019

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), also known as the Malaysian Institute of Architects, closed their month-long celebration of architecture for World Architecture Day 2019 (WAD) by highlighting architecture’s role in the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In conjunction with WAD, the PAM Sustainability, Climate Change and New Urban Agenda Committee held a week-long exhibition on Green and Sustainable Practice of Architecture in Asia from 21 – 27 October 2019.

The exhibition aims to create awareness of the built environment, and its role in meeting the United Nation’s SDGs. The works on display represent some of the best Green building design practices in Malaysia.

The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals are a set of 17 goals to achieve a better and more sustainable future. It addresses global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, as well as peace and justice. – Construction + Online
