Pavilion Bukit Jalil secured 1 million square feet of confirmed tenants

Retail planners of Pavilion Bukit Jalil announced on 26 Nov 2019 that they have successfully secured 1 million square feet of confirmed tenants.

The announcement of the anchor tenants was officiated by Yang Berhormat Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar bin wan Chik, Deputy Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture Malaysia, alongside Dato Joyce Yap, CEO Retail of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd and Datuk Lee Whay Hoong, Director, Regal Path Sdn, owner of Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Anchor tenants will include Parkson, Dadi Cinema, Food Republic, The Food Merchant, Harvey Norman, and Pavilion Bukit Jalil Ice Rink.

Slated to be open in 2021, with 1.8 million square feet in retail space, Pavilion Bukit Jalil will be the largest shopping mall within a 10-kilometre radius of Bukit Jalil City.

“I am proud to announce that 1 million square feet of the Pavilion Bukit Jalil retail space have already been secured with tenants. We are also close to securing another 300,000 square feet in retail space from committed tenants although there are still 18 months to the opening,” said Dato’ Joyce Yap, CEO Retail of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd.

Pavilion Bukit Jalil also aims to tap into the overseas tourism market as well as local tourists who visit KL every year. Tourism Malaysia reported that Malaysia has accumulated up to 13.35 million international tourists in the first half of 2019, with tourism receipts at RM41.69 billion, where shopping was the top contributor. – Construction+ Online
