Company Name: Naza Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (Naza EC)

Naza Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (Naza EC) was awarded Best Project under the major building category for buildings above RM100 million, by Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA). Naza EC’s Chief Operating Officer Md Arifin Naim received the award from Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of CIDB, during a gala dinner held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 23 September 2016.

Naza EC won the award for Naza Tower, a 50-storey office building within the 9.1-acre mixed integrated development of Platinum Park. The tower is located at Persiaran KLCC, adjacent to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. It is the first helical-shaped office building in the capital city. The tower’s slim cylindrical structure reduces reflection and wind deflection to the ground while maximising daylight views of the city skyline.

This single block Green Building Index (GBI)-certified building has a net floor area of 532,470 square feet. The building uses sustainable materials that reduce water and electricity consumption. Motion sensors and variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) motors are installed in the lifts to improve energy efficiency.

Even though Naza EC is relatively new in the industry, as a Bumiputera-status company with a Grade G7 certification from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), its team’s diverse experience and expertise provide strong fundamentals for exponential growth with the capability to take on mega projects.
