Harmoniously nestled by the Bayou Creek riverbank, the 3,700-square-foot bungalow show unit within the Leisure Farm Resort was designed with dark classic panels, featuring a soothing muted colour palette that complements the dark accents. Subtle touches of vibrant colours add a modern touch to the space.
The family can keep their guests entertained in the dining room, while preparing meals on the open kitchen’s island counter. Upholstered dining chairs and a low-pile rug contribute to a comfortable dining experience surrounded by natural landscape. The family and living areas are created for comfortable lounging, with lush carpets and sheer day curtains that soften the natural light from large windows. The subtle touch of the embossed ceiling in the living room adds texture to the simple lines of the furnishings.
Panelled walls offer depth and texture to the corridor and feature wall, highlighted by concealed or natural lighting. A glass-enclosed, double-volume internal courtyard provides greenery, and creates a feeling of openness in a cosy chill-out nook under the stairs, which leads up to an intimate family space on the upper floor, where another family area; master bedroom; study room, gym; teenager’s room; and rooftop garden are located.
Distinctive shelves with octagonal nooks cover one wall of the study, with an attached movable ladder for easy access. Wooden flooring warms the space and a collection of picture frames invites perusal. The master bedroom faces the river and features a relaxing “his” and “her” sitting area softened by a geometrically designed rug. A subtle oriental influence remains in the multifunctional space created in the teenager’s room with a padded bay window seat, private study table, and soft pink, muted tones.
