“Anti-epidemic Fund” is now available for suppliers of construction-related machineries and equipment rental

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) announces that the Construction Industry “Anti-epidemic Fund” is now available for applications from Suppliers of Construction-related Machineries and Equipment Rental as announced on 24 June 2020.

This funding scheme, being part of the second round of measures first announced in mid-May this year, provides a one-off subsidy of HKD20,000 to each eligible supplier. Company applicants must have possessed a valid Business Registration Certificate or a valid Certificate of Incorporation as of 8 April 2020, and individual applicants must be Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above as of 8 April 2020.

They must be suppliers of the Construction-related Machineries and Equipment (CRME) rental in Hong Kong during the period from 1 January 2019 to 8 April 2020 (both dates inclusive) and own at least one number of CRME as of 8 April 2020.

Applicants must send an application form with the supporting documents and declaration by email to the Development Bureau from 23 June 2020 until 31 August 2020 and late submission will not be accepted. Company applicants which have received or will receive subsidies under the relief measures for construction sector of the Fund will not be eligible to this round of application.
